For over 40 years Boo Chrisp has been helping people discover Africa in a way that’s completely tailored to them. Bushbuck was founded in 1984 by Boo and her father Michael Shirley-Beavan and today it is still a small family business, with Boo’s daughter Kitty joining in 2026.
Boo is one of just a handful of safari Africa experts worldwide who started out in the 1980s; she’s seen lots change and lodges transform from dust-floor tents to the grand luxury lodges they are today. Over the years she has built a deep understanding of safari Africa and the nuances of each wildlife area.
